Deleting your sign-in
Scarab OS is software for repair shops. If you sign in to it at a shop, you can delete your own sign-in at any time.
How to delete it
To delete your sign-in, write to privacy@scarab-os.tech from the address you sign in with, and name the shop.
We delete your seat at the shop and your sign-in, and write back when it is done. The shop's records stay with the shop, as below.
What is deleted
Your seat at the shop, your sign-in address, your PIN, and the link to Google or Apple if you used one. You are signed out everywhere.
What the shop keeps, and why
The shop's own records stay with the shop: the jobs, invoices, payments, hours on the clock and sealed repairs you worked on keep your name. The shop is required to keep business records, and a sealed repair cannot be changed or removed by anyone, us included, except in response to a legal demand.
The system's record of who did what (taking a payment, sealing a repair, changing hours) is kept for seven years and then deleted.
If you are a shop's customer
You do not have a Scarab OS account: your details are the shop's. Ask the shop to correct or remove them, or fix your name, phone and email yourself from the private link the shop sends you. A shop can remove everything about a customer except sealed repairs and the shop's ledger.
If you own the shop
Closing a shop removes nothing: the owner can still download the shop's records for as long as they exist. To close a shop, write to help@scarab-os.tech. The privacy policy has the whole picture.
