Scarab OS

For mechanics who go to the car.

The work happens in a driveway or a yard, so nothing waits in a bay and nobody comes to collect. Tell Scarab OS that, and the job board stops pretending otherwise.

A board shaped for a van

Under Settings → Your plan, choose “Mobile — I go to them” and the board changes:

  • A job starts “On site” and ends “Finished”
  • No waiting for pickup, because nobody picks anything up
  • No waiting for a free technician and no parts sign-off from someone else, because it is you

Take on a second van and its driver, and you move to Shop; change one setting and nothing is removed from your records.

Everything else comes with you

  • Estimates the customer approves line by line from a link on their own phone
  • Inspections, with photographs, that a customer can open from a link
  • Payments recorded against the job: cash, check or card on your own terminal
  • A sealed record of the finished job

What it does not do yet

  • Texting customers from the app is not switched on yet.
  • It has no live parts catalog. Use your own vendor account, or type parts off the receipt.

What it costs

Working on your own, Solo is $109 a month for one person, with every part of the app switched on. Hire somebody and Shop, $189 a month, has no limit on people. Every plan.
