Digital vehicle inspection
The technician answers every point. The customer reads what it found.
Three sheets for three different jobs, a photo on any point, and a report the customer opens from a link.

Three sheets, not one checklist
- Courtesy multi-point. The fast visual sweep. Usually free. 32 points on a car.
- Regular diagnosis. The billed procedure: verify, scan, test, find the root cause. 13 points.
- Deep diagnostic. For when the regular diagnosis did not find it: teardown, scope, bench test. 14 points on a car.
Each is a different job, so each has its own sheet.

The sheet follows the vehicle
- A ¾- or 1-ton pickup or a bigger truck (Class 2B to 8) is also asked about its air system, slack adjusters, DEF and marker lights. A medium or heavy truck (Class 4 to 8) is asked about its fifth wheel and PTO too. A car is never asked.
- A car's courtesy sheet has 32 points, a ¾-ton pickup's 36, a medium or heavy truck's 37.
More on trucks: Diesel and heavy-duty

Every point gets an answer
- Four answers: Good, Needs attention, Needs repair now, or Does not apply.
- Does not apply is an answer. The technician looked, and the point is not on this vehicle.
- A sheet cannot be finished with a point nobody answered. Finish names the points that are left.
- Add a photo to any point, up to eight, from the phone's camera.
- Write a note on a point, and a summary for the customer in plain words: what you found, what needs doing now, what can wait.

Findings reach the estimate
- Share the finished sheet and it shows on the customer's estimate: what needs doing now, what is worth keeping an eye on, and how many points checked out.
- On the estimate, the advisor ties a line to the point it answers. The line carries that point's photos and the shop's note, and the customer reads the estimate in groups: Needs doing now, Worth keeping an eye on, and Passed.
- The customer can also open the whole report from a link: what needs doing, what to watch and what passed, with the photos. They can print it or save it as a PDF.
- The report's link comes with the estimate, so it opens once the estimate is made. Send it by email, or by text to a customer who said yes to texts.

What it is not
- These are the shop's own inspections. There is no DOT annual inspection form and no driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
