An estimate template the customer answers line by line.
Each line gets its own answer, so the customer can say yes to the brakes and not now to the wipers, and the total shows what they agreed to.

How to use it
- Put each repair on its own line, so the customer can answer it on its own.
- Group the lines by how soon they matter. Needs doing now first.
- Give every line its price: the hours and the rate for labor, or the quantity and the price for a part.
- Ask the customer to tick Yes, do it or Not now on every line, then write their name and the date. Total only the lines marked Yes.
- Keep the signed sheet with the repair order. If the job changes, write a new version rather than changing this one.

Questions shops ask
Can a customer approve only part of an estimate?
Yes. Each line is answered on its own, and the total follows the lines they said yes to.
What should an auto repair estimate include?
Each repair on its own line with its hours and rate, or its quantity and price, the shop's note, any fees, the tax and the total.
What if the price changes after they approve?
Write a new version of the estimate, and ask again line by line.
Is this estimate template free?
Yes. Print it as often as you like; nothing is saved or sent.

In Scarab OS the customer opens the estimate from a link, answers each line on their phone, and types their name to approve. Nothing is done without a yes.
